Antigen: human thromboxane synthase amino acids 359-377 (TNPDCQEKLLREVDVFKEK) · Host: rabbit · Application(s): WB and IHC; other applications not tested · Thromboxane synthase catalyzes the conversion of prostaglandin H₂ to thromboxane A₂, which is a potent vasoconstrictor and inducer of platelet aggregation. The enzyme has been cloned from a variety of species including human, pig, rat, and mouse and has a molecular weight of approximately 60,000.^1,2,3,4,5 Northern blot analysis reveals that the gene is expressed in lung, kidney and spleen.^4,5
